After being rained out on Saturday, October 14, the Bayonne Arts Festival is slated to bring the City alive with art, music, dancing, and more at G. Thomas DiDomenico 16th Street Park on Sunday, October 22.

Community leaders gathered to rededicate a park to Bayonne Civil Rights leader Dr. Davis Morris, celebrating his life and his legacy. He helped to organize the Bayonne Youth Center in 1928.

Five people were honored for the work in the community at the Bayonne Youth Center's 16th annual Black History Luncheon. The theme of the luncheon, which was held on Presidents Day, Feb. 20, at the Chandelier, was "Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr."

A new mentorship program has paired up police officers with city youth for a yearlong schedule of activities that includes community service, field trips and educational lectures.
